We had a long day yesterday. My friend and I had a yard sale and we got up at 6:30 to set it up. You should have seen the pile of junk errrr stuff we had! I had a great day and made a lot of money but more importantly got rid of a lot of my house! It was actually a very nice day (for once) and stupid me forgot to put sunscreen on. I am just a little red. Lobster red actually. Kyrie had a bake sale and made some money and the other three had fun playing all day long.
After our yard sale we came home and crashed for a couple of hours. Then I dropped K and T off to go golfing and took the girls to see some baby kittens and get some groceries.
Then to top off the end of our already fun day we built a fire in the backyard (one good thing about living in the country) and roasted marshmallows and made smores. Super yummy and super fun! It was a great day!

Karlie was so tired yesterday she fell asleep standing up(leaning against me) so we put her on the couch. Glad she didn't fall off!

I took the girls to Provo last week to shop and visit aunt Kara for her birthday. We had lots of fun shopping (well most of the time). I definitely have two little girls who won't be getting credit cards until they are 50! They wanted me to buy everything.
We stayed with aunt Erin and Jacie stayed to play with Ell while Karlie and I took aunt Kara out to eat at Gloria's, a great authentic Italian restaurant that has the most amazing desserts and gelato!
Leave it to me to not get a picture of us and Kara. I think both of us were so busy trying to keep Karlie occupied and in one place we forgot! Happy Birthday anyway Kara!
We were waiting for Erin to get home so I decided to take them to Krispy Kreme and show them how the doughnuts were made and maybe to get one. They weren't making doughnuts at the time but we did get to eat some!

Kyrie had her end of the year clogging recital and like always she was AWESOME!

Happy Birthday Tanner!

Tanner turned nine last Saturday! I can hardly believe he is that old. Still seems like he should be five.
On Thursday after school we took a bunch of his friends bowling for his birthday. What a crazy time that was. I was trying to keep track of 7 little boys and keep score at the same time. We ordered pizza and breadsticks and then ate the cake I made. He had a good time.
Saturday was a different story. Jacie was in the hospital (more on that later after I develop pictures) so I wasn't there to make him breakfast or wish him Happy Birthday that morning. I felt so bad. Kyle took him and a friend to a movie that afternoon and then that evening we opened presents at the hospital and then dad and grandma and grandpa took him out for pizza. Andrea had dinner at her house on Sunday and Kyle had made him a cheesecake. I still think he had a good birthday despite all the craziness that was going on.
Happy Birthday Bud- I sure do love you!

Happy Birthday Tanner!

I saw a picture of this cake on someones blog that took a cake class from a famous cake decorator. I somehow got it in my head that I wanted to try to duplicate it. It was not as bad as I thought it would be. Kyle helped me make the structure for it out of pvc pipe. It took 8, 8in cakes to make the body and then I molded the head, legs, and tail out of modeling chocolate and then covered it in fondant. I thought it turned out pretty good considering I've never sculpted something of that magnitude. Tanner loved it and so did his friends so that is all that really mattered.

Funny story about the cake though: It was attacked by another dinosaur and suffered damage. Yep Karlie got to it. I went to take a shower and I really didn't have anywhere else to put it. It was too heavy to move too many times. When I got out Karlie was eating something that looked like a popsicle. I got closer and noticed she had pulled out the arm and was eating it. (The fondant does taste like marshmallow!) Well that wasn't the only causualty. I really tried to keep an eye on her the rest of the day but when I went to change the laundry I came back and saw that she had attacked the figure of Tanner and ate his legs right off! So the pictures only show his face and body. I just told Tanner the dinosaur ripped him in two!
