I love being an American!

I AM proud to be an American. I am so blessed to be able to live in this country and enjoy the freedoms and abundances that we have. I think too many times we take these things for granted. I was reading a newspaper article today and it was about a third world country in Africa. The infant mortality rate was extremely high, their shacks were built on garbage, and they did not have running water or toilet facilities. Poverty lied within every doorstep and their futures were uncertain. Stops and makes you think a little and really appreciate what you have.
I am grateful we are not at war on our own soil and I love that there are men and women who are giving up their lives to maintain our rights and other countries rights.
I wish Americans could put aside their differences and work together and unite as one. I am fearful of where we are heading and worry about the future of this beautiful country and it's government. It is one nation UNDER GOD. Without God there is nothing but power hungry men who care nothing of me or my fellow citizens.
Let us all appreciate more than fireworks and parades this year. I know I will

I found a few quotes from some great American men that I thought I'd share.
