Gotta Love a Strong Willed Little Girl

Tanner got Karlie some chocolate milk in her sippy cup this morning. She didn't want chocolate milk she wanted root beer. We told her no and so she goes over to the trash can and chucks the cup into it, turns and gives a so there smile. What a stink!

Funny Jacie quote: Jacie comes running up to me one morning and says with a lot of enthusiasm, "Mom, it's spring on this side of the house!" as she pointed to the east side of the house. She was excited to finally see grass, that was short lived however as it snowed 10 inches. Gotta love Idaho weather

After what seemed like months and months Kyrie's page is finally here. Or so she thinks. She has been waiting so long for this.
Kyrie is the daughter that everyone wished they had. She is very responsible. She gets herself up and ready for school and gets her brother up to! She is getting old enough to babysit. Yeah! She gets her homework done without being asked and loves to read.
She loves to cook, play the piano, play volleyball and basketball, and clog. She is an all around good kid.
She is willing to try new things and loves to go anywhere. She is not a homebody.
I can't believe she is almost 11! I am looking forward to becoming her friend as well as her mom in the years to come. I love you so much Kyrie.

Kyrie is just one of those children you could have a hundred of. She is so responsible. She wakes up and gets ready for school on her own and she is also her brother's alarm clock too. She is good with the little girls and is getting to the age where she can babysit. yeah!!
She is good in school, loves to read, can play the piano and loves to clog (she is a great clogger).
She'll eat anything and not complain, loves to cook and help make dinner.
She is just an all around great kid. I love her so much. She is such a big help to me. I don't know what I'd do without her. I can't believe how old she is getting. I look forward to her and I being great friends.

Jacie has been telling us for months that she wants us to take her to Disneyland.  Kyle's parents own a timeshare in Newport Beach and asked if we would want to come stay with them. How can you refuse that! (Thanks Bart and Cherie!) So we made plans to go to California.  We just hope the weather is nice!
We were going to fly but decided to drive at the last moment so we set off on Sunday and got to Cali on Monday.  We just hung out and went to the Cheescake Factory for dinner. Love that place! They had a new blueberry cheesecake that was out of this world!
Tuesday we went to Disneyland all day.  That place truly is magical.  I love when you take the little ones and they see the characters and go crazy, or shy in Jacie's case.  I had Karlie in the stroller and we were walking when all of the sudden she bolts out of the stroller and starts pointing all excited. She saw Mickey, Goofy, and Pluto and was heading over to see them. We stayed there until closing. Very nice day and not a lot of people there so it was great. We went to the hot tub almost every night at the condo so that was nice to get to relax. Tuesday night, Karlie decided to get one of her 105 fevers.  We were up with her till 4:00 in the morning trying to get her fever down. So when you see pictures of us you'll know why we look like Zombies!
On Wednesday we were going to go to Sea World but with Karlie sick and it being 1 1/2 hours away we decided to go up to Long Beach to the aquarium there.  It was actually quite fun.  We got to touch sharks, stingrays, and Jacie's favorite; starfish.  It was a big aquarium and had lots of fish.  We all liked it when a diver got in the tanks and this one fish kept rolling and swimming through the diver's bubbles. It was so funny. He acted like a dog! We went to Bubba Gump's Shrimp for lunch and then on down to Huntington Beach.  We walked out on the pier to Ruby's Diner and got ice cream and shakes.  That is my new favorite place to eat!  We ate there three more times on our vacation.  Maybe that's why I've gained 8 pounds! We played on the beach for a while and then went back because Karlie was starting to not feel good again. We were up with her every 4-5 hours that night trying to keep her fever down.
We went back to Disney on Thursday.  It was busier and it took longer to go on rides.  We waited 1 1/2 hours to see the princesses but it was worth it to see Jacie's face.  She loves princesses and she was so excited yet so star struck she could hardly talk.  That was a highlight for me.  The little girls favorite ride was the "little people ride" which after a minute we figured out it was It's A Small World.  Tanner went with grandma and grandpa over to play on the island because he does not like to ride rides. Kyrie was good to go with us and go on the little kids rides. All the adults were ready to leave and I could tell she wanted to go on a big kid ride one more time so I asked her which one and she picked Splash Mountain so we went on that. I got stuck in the very front and I got soaked!  It took me a long time to dry out!  We love Disneyland.  It has some very special memories for us and we were glad we were able to go again and add to them.On Friday we just wanted to have a day to relax. We went shopping and then down to the beach.  Jacie loved the beach!  She couldn't decide if she liked the beach or Disneyland better. She really could be a California girl. (She also got excited about the green grass since we are still snow covered here at home) It took Karlie a while to like it but soon she was having fun and getting wet. I could stay on the beach all day. It is just so relaxing and of course Tanner and Kyrie had a blast building castles and running from the waves.  We left on Saturday and met my brother (who was going over to Disneyland) at a mall.  It was so fun to get to see them and to hold baby Trigg (who at this moment is in the hospital in California with pneumonia-get better buddy!)  I was afraid he'd be crawling before I got to see him.  Always love to see my family and my cute niece and nephews.  We drove to Provo that night. Atila made us drive all night. We got there at 12:30 in the morning! We got up Sunday morning and was home by three.  What a fun week, except for Karlie getting sick.  It was actually a vacation we enjoyed and got to relax instead of just go, go, go.  I'm grateful for all the opportunities I have to travel. Keeps me sane!

So we went on vacation back in January to Florida but I had trouble downloading most of my pictures so I never put them on.  I got a few to dowload and thought I'd give a brief synopsis of our trip if I can remember it!
We only took Tanner and Kyrie this time because we wanted to spend some one on one time with them.  We feel that they get slighted sometimes because the two little girls take up so much of our time.
We got our condo at Marriott's Grande Vista and headed out for some fun!  The first thing we did was go to Kennedy Space Center.  Our friends, Faye and Kimbo from Georgia, joined us and we had a great time.  It was interesting to see how huge everything is and how technology has advanced to make space exploration possible.  This was the only day we had that was warm because the rest of the weak it turned freaking cold!!
We do have bad luck when we go to Florida. The last two years we've gone it has froze. Literally the temperatures got down in the low 30's. So when we went to Disney's Hollywood Studios we had to buy hats and scarves to keep warm.
Kyle's cousin lives in Orlando now so we went to his house for dinner one night and met up with them at Hollywood Studios for some fun.
We went to Wonder Works which is like a virtual reality world. That was so much fun!  We could have spent all day in there.  We went to a couple of movies and then to Busch Gardens. They had one roller coaster there that was a blast and got your heart beating.  It was a great vacation and we had a good time with Kyrie and Tanner
